  • Kenneth W. Freeman
  • Kenneth W. Freeman, Chairman

    Kenneth W. Freeman is the Allen Questrom Professor and Dean of the School of Management at Boston University. Ken has almost forty years of professional experience, including five years at KKR where he was a partner. He continues as a Senior Advisor with KKR, serving on the firm’s Portfolio Management Committee. He is a director of Accellent, HCA, and Masonite. Ken was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, the leading provider of medical diagnostic testing services, from 1997 through 2004. He joined the predecessor company, Corning Clinical Laboratories, during 1995, and subsequently led its spin-off from Corning. Ken began his career at Corning Incorporated in 1972, progressing through its financial function before leading several business turnarounds. Ken received an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School in 1976, and a BSBA, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Bucknell University in 1972. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bucknell University.

  • Donald J. Spence, President & Chief Executive Officer

    Don joined Accellent in May 2010 from Philips Healthcare where he served as Chief Executive Officer of Philips Home Healthcare Solutions. He was President of the Sleep and Home Respiratory Group for Respironics, Inc. from 2005 until the firm was acquired by Royal Philips Electronics in 2008. Don began his career as a financial analyst at Ford Motor Company and has served in various roles in the medical device and automotive industries including: strategic planning, operations, global marketing, sales and senior management for BOC Group plc. and GKN plc. Don received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Michigan State University in 1975 and a master’s degree in Economics from Central Michigan University in 1979.

  • Jeffrey M. Farina
  • Jeffrey M. Farina, Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer

    Jeff has served as Accellent's Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer since June 2004. Prior to joining Accellent, Jeff worked in the Uniform Tubes Division of UTI, and served as Project Manager, Engineering Manager and Vice President of Engineering over the course of 15 years. Jeff has also worked in the computer industry as a Product Engineer and Project Lead developing electromechanical devices. Throughout his career, Jeff has been awarded device and process patents in diverse fields. He received bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.

  • Jeremy A. Friedman
  • Jeremy A. Friedman, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

    Jeremy brings more than thirty years of finance and operations experience to Accellent. Before joining Accellent, Jeremy worked at Flextronics, where he held a number of senior executive positions including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, Chief Operating Officer of Flextronics Network Services and Senior Vice President of Finance for the Components division. Jeremy has broad based experience with entrepreneurial and start-up environments, as well as multi-national, multi-billion dollar corporations. He has held senior leadership positions in manufacturing, telecommunication services, retail and international trading businesses. Jeremy has a bachelor's degree in Religion from Haverford College, as well as a master's degree from Harvard University.

  • James McGorry, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

    Jim joined Accellent in August 2011 with over 25 years of experience in medical device and biotech based businesses. Jim has held senior level positions in sales and marketing, commercial operations and general management for several world class global organizations. Most recently, Jim held the position of Senior Vice President of Oncology for Genzyme Corporation. Jim received a MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BS in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point where he was the president of his class.

  • Dean D. Schauer
  • Dean D. Schauer, Executive Vice President, Operations and Technology

    Dean Schauer is responsible for all manufacturing, supply chain, engineering and design, and development engineering within Accellent's worldwide operations. He has been affiliated with Accellent and its legacy companies since 2000 in roles including Engineering Manager, Director of Program Management, Vice President of Engineering and Quality, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Customer Operations, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing, as well as direct Operations Leadership. Prior to working at Accellent, Dean worked for 10 years in various positions including Application Engineering, Technology Development, Technical Management, and Global Engineering and Sales Management. Dean has a bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from South Dakota Tech and is certified in Six Sigma methodology.

  • Ron I. Honig
  • Ron I. Honig, Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Company Secretary

    Ron joined Accellent in October 2008 from Gyrus ACMI, a leading supplier of medical visualization and energy systems where he served as Vice President, Group Legal Affairs and Company Secretary for seven years. Ron previously engaged in the private practice of law at the Boston law firm of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo, P.C., and earlier served as law clerk to the Supreme Court of New Hampshire and as Editor-in-Chief of the Boston University Law Review. Ron has a bachelor's degree in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Ron received his law degree from the Boston University School of Law and holds Bar memberships in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

  • Joseph F. Flanagan
  • Joseph F. Flanagan, Senior Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs

    Joseph Flanagan joined Accellent in 2012. His previous role was as Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at NP Medical, a subsidiary of Nypro, Inc. Joe has over 25 years of expertise in all aspects of Quality Assurance including supply chain, structured continuous improvement, best practices in quality management systems and new product introduction. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Babson College. Joe is a certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Engineer and Quality Auditor.

  • Patricia M. McCall, Senior Vice President, Human Resources

    Tricia oversees all human resource functions for Accellent. Having joined the company in September 2007, Tricia has more than twenty-five years of human resources experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Human Resources with Health Dialog Services Corporation. Previously she was Vice President - Human Resources at ACMI Corporation and progressed through multiple human resources roles during her nineteen year tenure at Hewlett Packard Company's Medical Products Group. Tricia has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA.
